We’ve just experienced the most significant two weeks of politics in my lifetime. An assassination attempt, a failed Vice President unveiling, an uprising from the unelected left flank, a freaking legend passes the torch in exquisite fashion, and a queen is unleashed. All in just two weeks.
The Assassination Attempt
The assassination attempt of the Republican candidate by a registered Republican voter at a Republican campaign rally can only mean one thing. Democrats are bad. (That was seriously the Republican Party leaders’ initial reactions.) There were also several calls to end trump’s legal trials because those were to blame.

Add to this oddball response the fact that the campaign refuses to release any sort of statement by medical professionals about his injuries, and it’s no wonder some on the socials are entertaining conspiracies.
