The January 6th Committee
- Trump’s Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, had a PowerPoint presentation on his device explaining step-by-step how to overthrow the United States government. They were planning to declare martial law, have the Supreme Court suspend the constitution, and seize the government with military force. Seriously people. It’s in writing. These actions would have started a civil war, and still might. What in the actual fuck. Not surprisingly, Meadows halted his cooperation with the committee this week. They’ve got phone records. People are cooperating. If you’re following this at all, you can already see how bad things look — it was a straight-up coup attempt y’all. And public hearings are right around the corner. Shit’s about to get lit.
- In the resolution to hold Meadows in contempt, issued by the House of Representatives: “Mr. Meadows sent an email to an individual about the events on January 6 and said that the National Guard would be present to ‘protect pro Trump people’ and that many more would be available on standby.” Holy shit.
- Two of Trump’s top officials pleaded the 5th. Jeffrey Clark is a former official at the Department of Justice so apparently we had someone high up in the DOJ witnessing crimes to such a degree that he can’t talk…
